Simulation Engineer supports the development of digital twins for MiTeks automation products. These digital twins enable the testing of HMI software, machine logic, and mechanical designs in a virtual environment, thereby alleviating the need to test on physical systems, which are often limited in availability. They also enable customer support teams to debug customer issues without sending teams onsite, and for potential remote training of machine operators. The Simulation Engineer will collaborate with our Simulations Architect to build the digital twins from the ground up and continue to update them according to the needs of the teams that use them. Additionally, this individual will provide support and training for the engineers who utilize the digital twins.
- Develop Digital Twins: Create and maintain digital twins for various systems and processes within the company.
- System Design: Collaborate in the overall design of simulation systems.
- Validation and Verification: Simulation results must be validated and verified against real-world data to build trust and ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Highly effective in digesting data and needs and applying solutions as appropriate.
- Develop modelling and simulation tools and/or use industry tools to analyse complex technical problems relating to various automation systems.
- Identify and document significant process, tooling, and layout issues early in the launch process.
- Maintain and improve large-scale simulations to support multiple applications.
- Train users on how to use the digital twins.
- Other reasonable tasks as assigned
